Refunds will ONLY be issued IF your space can be filled at the same rate, minus a $200 administrative fee. If your space cannot be filled, a refund will not be issued. Staying At The Lodge

Food | Self-catered is standard. A catered food option is available for groups of 10 or more.

Parking | Parking is available for multiple vehicles at Switchback 11 on the Grubstake Road during the winter months. Winter tires and 4 wheel drive are always required as are tire chains. Please park facing downhill for ease of exit and out of the way of the snowmobile turnaround and through traffic. Ice cleats for shoes are also recommended as the parking area often has icy patches. Long term free parking for carpooling is available in Hamilton across the street to the north from the main street Post Office.

Pet Policy | Well-behaved, trained dogs are welcome for $50 per dog with a maximum of two dogs per group. Dogs must not be left alone at the Lodge. Owners are expected to remove dog excrement from around the lodge area.

Waivers | All group members are required to understand that accessing the lodge via the roadway, using the roadway, and all activities based to and from and in and around the lodge are at guests' sole risk and that guests will take responsibility for their own liability and personal safety and equipment and vehicle safety. A copy of the liability release is posted on the inside of the front door of the lodge. All people accessing the roadway and lodge are responsible for their personal safety and liability and by entering the private roadway assume all risk and responsibility for themselves, their vehicles, their passengers and their property. Downing Mountain Lodge and it's owners and employees are released from guests' liability and guests release their right to bring lawsuits against the business or owners for injuries or damages sustained on the private property or Forest Service lands adjacent to the lodge.

Additional Services

Guiding | Guiding is availble for your whole trip or for individual days. Guiding is $700 per guide per day.

Catering | Catered meals are available and prepared from the freshest ingredients by a culinary expert. Dinners are $60 per person. Full catering is $100 per person. Ten person minimum.

Shuttles | During the winter months, snowmobile shuttles for luggage and food are available for $500 per roundtrip. This includes up to 2 luggage haul loads from switchback 11 parking to the Lodge and return to switchback 11 parking. A snowmobile load is about 250 lbs and 16 cubic feet. We recommend and encourage packing carefully. One water resistant less than 51 liter duffel per person, and coolers or cardboard food boxes if requiring a shuttle. Individuals will carry their day ski packs to lodge and should not be included in shuttle. Loose gear and equipment is discouraged and may be lost from shuttle. Please keep it tight! Heavy winter boots are not neceassry for lodge life. A pair of crocs or flip flops for the hot tub and sauna will suffice, alongwith a pair of ankle high winter hikers or snow boots. There are a couple pairs of loaner winter boots at the lodge for firewood chores, alongwith a number of pairs of loaner crocs.

Additional Fees
