Looking for an unforgettable backcountry ski and snowboard mountain retreat? Downing Mountain Lodge in Montana’s breathtaking Bitterroot Valley is now accepting reservations for the 2026 season! Dates are available on a first-come basis and will be secured once we receive your deposit. Don’t miss your chance to experience the beauty, privacy, and adventure our lodge has to offer.
2026 Pricing & Booking Details
- Base Rate: $1,350 per midweek night / $1,750 per weekend night (+8% lodging tax) for up to 10 guests
- NEW for 2026! Two additional guests included at no extra cost!
- Additional Guests: $135 per person midweek / $175 per person weekends
- Minimum Stay: 2-night minimum (3-night minimum for long holiday weekends)
- Pet-Friendly: Up to 2 well-behaved dogs welcome for $50 each per visit
- Deposit: Required to secure your reservation, payable via PayPal, Venmo, or check
Backcountry Ski and Snowboard Services & Enhancements
- Snowmobile Shuttles: $650 round trip for food and equipment transport
- Mountain Guiding Services: $750 per full day / $500 per half day
- NEW for 2026! First-time trip leaders and their groups can request a complimentary lodge orientation and guided tour to the first summit with lodge owner and lead guide, John Lehrman, on arrival afternoon. This optional service is designed to help guests get familiar with the lodge and terrain, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable stay.
